SPEAKER: Jeff Hecht, President of Jeff Hecht Public Relations Consulting
Prior to launching Jeff Hecht Public Relations Consulting in 2009, Hecht was a part of the prestigious Mindspace team as a Senior Account Executive, responsible for the creation of strategic public relations, media, messaging, and comprehensive marketing campaigns for various clients. Hecht’s background in proactive media campaigns, political lobbying efforts, social media, and the creation of signature brands were integral in providing top notch service to Mindspace’s varied roster of clients.
From 2000-2008, Hecht served as the Director of Public Affairs for The Ellman Companies as the senior public relations strategist and day-to-day media spokesperson with regards to their various development projects throughout the Valley. Among these world class developments is the Westgate City Center in Glendale, Arizona, an 8 million square foot mixed use development featuring retail, office, restaurants, hotels, residential, and entertainment components, anchored by the Jobing.com Arena and the University of Phoenix Stadium, homes to the Phoenix Coyotes (NHL) and Arizona Cardinals (NFL).
Before joining The Ellman Companies, Hecht worked with the Phoenix Coyotes Hockey Club as Assistant Director of Media Relations and later Director of Corporate Communications During his six-year tenure with the Coyotes, the team was twice recognized as the top public relations department among member NHL teams.Throughout his varied past, one thing has remained consistent – Hecht’s desire to give back to his community. Hecht is involved in several community organizations, with particular attention to youth and education. Hecht currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the ASU West College of Human Services,is VP of Marketing and Public Relations for the Arizona Interactive Marketing Association and on the Board of Directors of the FairPlay Foundation, a Phoenix, Arizona based non-profit organization created to assist professional athletes, celebrities, and other affluent, civic-minded citizens in becoming more involved and giving back to enhance the community in which they live, play, and serve.
