Fionn Downhill, CEO of Elixir Interactive, founded the company in 2003 with little more than a passion for search and a desire to deliver results that were beyond expectation. More than seven years later, Fionn still has the same passion for search as evidenced by her involvement in the industry and advocacy of best practices. She served on the board of the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) and was a founding member the SEMPO Institute, which was launched to provide first class training for the search engine marketing industry worldwide. Fionn is an accomplished speaker on the subject of search marketing and has spoken at Ad:Tech, AMA, Search Engine Strategies, SMX, Searchnomics, American Marketing Association, PRSA and the Society for Women Engineers. She is a subject matter expert in Online Reputation Management and has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal and Computer Weekly, as well as quoted in the book “Radically Transparent.”
Tom Biro, Vice President with Allison & Partners, brings his public relations and digital media expertise to the Pacific Northwest to build Allison & Partners’ presence in the region. Prior to joining the firm, Tom was Senior Director of Communications for MTV and MTV.com, where he led media relations for the network’s digital efforts, including coordination with strategic and development teams on the integration and use of social media tools. While at MTV, Tom also handled integrated marketing, ad sales, ratings, music, and business news for the company. Previously, he launched MWW Group’s Dialogue Media digital practice, where he developed social media campaigns for some of the world’s leading brands. He has also held public relations, advertising and marketing positions at Deutsche Telekom and American Express. Tom founded Weblogs, Inc. /AOL’s AdJab blog, has written for its Cinematical and TV Squad blogs, and edited a media-focused blog, The Media Drop, for more than four years. He graduated from Monmouth University and holds a degree in Business Administration with a Management Concentration.
Clark Porter, IP attorney with Osborn Maledon, focuses his practice on representing technology and other entrepreneurial clients, often in connection with the firm’s outside general counsel practice. He focuses a majority of his practice on intellectual property and technology-related matters such as licensing, distribution, and procurement, and representing companies in business transactions and corporate governance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, and private equity financing. Clark rejoined Osborn Maledon in 2006 after a five-year stint as Vice President and General Counsel of Cyclone Commerce, Inc. Before joining Cyclone, Clark’s practice included representation of most of the larger software companies headquartered in Arizona.
